SCOPING AND ENVIRONMENTAL IMPACT ASSESSMENT PROCESS FOR THE PROPOSED 150 MW CARPE DIEM NORTH SOLAR PHOTOVOLTAIC PLANT ON PORTION 5 OF FARM VARKENSLAAGTE NO. 119, MERAFONG CITY LOCAL MUNICIPALITY, WEST RAND DISTRICT MUNICIPALITY, GAUTENG

Members of the public are hereby notified of the submission made to DFFE on 30 June 2025 of the Final Environmental Impact Assessment Report (FEIAR)  and associated documents for the proposed Carpe Diem North Solar Photovoltaic Plant on Portion 5 of Farm Varkenslaagte No. 119, near Carletonville. Members of the public are also provided with the relevant documents for information purposes only and not for commenting purposes.

Registered Interested and Affected Parties will be notified of the outcome of the DFFE decision on the FEIAR once received, and will be provided with the opportunity to appeal the decision, according to the National Appeal Regulations of 2025 (as amended), should an Environmental Authorisation be granted.
