Notice is hereby given in terms of the National Environmental Management Act, 1998 (Act No. 107 of 1998), as amended (NEMA), the 2014 Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) Regulations, as amended, as well as the National Water Act, 1998 (Act No. 36 of 1998), as amended (NWA), of an application for Environmental Authorisation for the proposed large-scale Solar Photovoltaic Plant (SPP) with associated infrastructure, situated within the Merafong City Local Municipality. This notice also serves to inform the public that a Draft Scoping Report (DSR) and associated documents will be made available for comment.
This notice also serves to inform the public that EIA related documents will be made available for a minimum 30 day comment period.
PLEASE NOTE: THE INITIATION OF THIS PROJECT'S COMMENT PERIOD HAS BEEN DELAYED AND WILL BE INITIATED WHEN READY. PLEASE TAKE THIS OPPORTUNITY TO REGISTER AS AN I&AP ON THE PROJECT IN THE MEANTIME.
