APPLICATION FOR ENVIRONMENTAL AUTHORISATION FOR THE PROPOSED 1000 MW NATURAL GAS TO POWER PLANT; LNG STORAGE AND REGASIFICATION FACILITY, OVERHEAD ELECTRICITY TRANSMISSION LINE, AND ASSOCIATED INFRASTRUCTURE ACROSS VARIOUS FARM PORTIONS, SALDANHA, WESTERN CAPE

Notice is hereby given in terms of the National Environmental Management Act, 1998 (Act 107 of 1998), as amended (NEMA), and the Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) Regulations of 2014, as amended, that an application for the Environmental Authorisation (EA) for the proposed 1000 MW natural gas to power plant; LNG storage and regassification facility, and overhead electricity transmission line and associated infrastructure across various farm portions, Saldanha, Western Cape has been submitted. The main development component of the project is situated on a portion of Portion 1 of Farm No. 189, Uyekraal in Saldanha Bay.

This notice serves to inform the public that a Revised Draft Environmental Impact Assessment Report is available for review and comment for a minimum of 30 days, from 07 April 2025 until 17h00 on 14 May 2025.
