Notice is hereby given in terms of the National Environmental Management Act, 1998 (Act No. 107 of 1998), as amended (NEMA), and the Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) Regulations of 2014, as amended, and the National Water Act, 1998 (Act No. 36 of 1998), as amended (NWA), of an Application for Environmental Authorisation (EA) for the proposed repair and extension to the existing gabion groynes and mattresses landward of the existing defined/adopted development setback on Portion 2 of Farm Lourensford No. 741, Somerset West.

This notice also serves to inform the public that the Draft Basic Assessment Report (BAR), including an Environmental Management Programme (EMPr), is available for review and comment for a minimum of 30 days, from 08 November 2024 – 11 December 2024.
