Notice is hereby given in terms of the National Environmental Management Act, 1998 (Act No. 107 of 1998), as amended (NEMA) and the 2014 Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) Regulations, as amended, of an application for Environmental Authorisation for the proposed large-scale Carpe Diem North Solar Photovoltaic Plant (SPP) with associated infrastructure, situated near Carletonville, within the Merafong City Local Municipality. This notice also serves to inform the public that the Draft Scoping Report (DSR) and associated documents are available for comment.

Members of the public are hereby invited to register as interested and/or affected parties (I&APs) and/or to submit written comments on the development proposal and/or the DSR and associated documents, to Legacy Environmental Management Consulting on or before 24 January 2025 at the contact details below.

The DSR is available for review and comment for a minimum of 30 days, until Friday, 24 January 2025.
